Calculators for pricing and scheduling a downsizing job

Two working calculators for the numbers that decide a senior move engagement: what the job pays after crew and disposition costs, and how many weeks it needs before move day.

Downsizing jobs are quoted badly for two reasons. The first is that managers price the packing and forget the disposition, so four donation runs, a shredding load, and a bulk pickup come straight off the margin. The second is that the calendar is built around the moving truck instead of around how many decision hours the client can actually sustain in a week.

These calculators handle one problem each. Run the margin calculator before you send a quote on a full package, and run the lead time planner before you promise a community a move in date. Both start with realistic defaults for a seven room house going into a two bedroom apartment, so the numbers mean something before you touch a slider.

Why these are free and open

Every calculator here runs in your own browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and there is no sign up in front of any of it.

They exist because the arithmetic behind senior move management is worth understanding on its own, whether or not you ever become a customer.

When the spreadsheet stops keeping up

Fit a fifty year household into a two bedroom floor plan before the moving truck is booked.
